Albion provides testing, treatment and management of sexually transmissible infections (STIs), including HIV to high risk individuals. If you are not at high risk of HIV infection, we suggest you see your GP for testing.
Fast Track Services
A triage nurse will assess your needs. You will be asked to complete a sexual history form and collect your own swab and urine sample. You will still have the opportunity to see an experienced sexual health nurse to have any other tests taken and answer other concerns you have. Your results can be sent by SMS.
For people with symptoms
If you have symptoms, you can usually be seen on the same day. While you can drop in, calling first can help reduce the amount of time spent waiting.
Triage Initial assessment, prioritisation and referrals Eligibility of post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for people who have been exposed to HIV or other infections.
Please don’t urinate for at least 1 hour prior to attending.
Accessing Sexual Health Services
Please phone reception on (02) 9332 9600 to make an appointment. Be prepared to answer some questions about the nature of your problem as this will help us direct you to the most appropriate health care professional for you to see.
You can also visit us in person. If you do this you will normally be assessed by the triage nurse who will work out what the best service is for you. Depending on the nature and urgency of your problem you will either be seen the same day or, more commonly, have an appointment made for another time. Because Albion can only see people for certain health issues we sometimes need to direct people elsewhere.
