Albion is actively involved in investigator led research in the specialities of HIV and Hepatitis.

Albion’s research focus is on:

  • Collaborative research on health outcomes (with hospitals & general practices and universities)
  • Specialised clinical practice (Quality improvement activities)
  • Pharmaceutical clinical trials (local and international) to improve current therapy

We also conduct research in other areas such as:

  • Nutrition
  • Psychology
  • International development

Our research is carried out according to ethical principles: The National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2007 – updated 2018, and conforms to the International Good Clinical Practice Guidelines. All studies at Albion must have ethics approval prior to commencement. Albion utilises the South Eastern Sydney LHN Human Research Ethics Committee for all research projects.

If you are interested in participating in any of our research projects please call 9332 9600 and ask to speak to the research coordinator. Alternatively, we do post information about new studies on the clinic noticeboard and on the Albion Facebook site.
