Upcoming online course – The ABCs of ARVs: HIV Treatment

A six week online course providing an overview of current treatment issues in the management of HIV infection and disease, including:
- Discussion on key aspects of HIV disease and its management.
- A look at the medicines used in treating HIV infections, including their modes of action, dosing consideration, how to manage interactions, adverse events and required clinical monitoring.
- An examination of the important aspects of adherence and counselling required in the management of HIV positive patients.
- Thoughts about the social, personal and emotional aspects of HIV that are important to deliver patient centred care in managing HIV patients.
Who should attend? Community or hospital pharmacists with HIV patients – This activity has been accredited for 18 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 36 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan.
