- Indonesia HIV/AIDS Prevention and Care Project – Phase II (2002 – 2007)

This project was a major initiative between the Governments of Australia and Indonesia. Albion International was a member of the consortium with GRM International Pty Ltd (managing contractor), the Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health, Family Health International (Asia Regional Office) and the University of New South Wales National Centre in HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research. The purpose was to facilitate an expanded multi-sectoral response to HIV in selected provinces and districts. Albion International contributions were in the areas of medical, nursing, infection control, counselling and nutrition.

A World Bank funded project, implemented in partnership with the University of Wollongong to explore the attitudes, beliefs and practices of nurses caring for people living with HIV (PLHIV) in Jakarta. This research aimed to improve the capacity of Indonesian hospitals to provide a safe environment for health care workers.
